With little supervision, a Senior Business Systems Analyst will work with various business units and information systems to address many of the company's most complex business problems. This position will often lead and manage the work of junior business analysts and will establish and maintain standards and guidelines for the group. This position will define business processes, project requirements and create system documentation. This position will work with development teams, project managers and other internal and external parties as needed to help facilitate the successful completion of company projects and initiatives.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for creating business requirements and system documentation, as well as contributing to end-user and project documentation
Represent business interests and ensure that all technical designs meet business needs and work directly with management and users to gather configuration project requirements and documents as needed
Act as the liaison between the business units and technology teams by relaying information in an easy to understand manner
Research and extract data from various sources to build business cases for proposed projects
Works closely senior business systems analysts and project managers to ensure project issues and risks are identified and develop the plan to mitigate each
Supervise, mentor, monitor and assign work to junior business analysts
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Five or more years of proven business analyst experience
Solid understanding of SDLC, application programming and database systems
General understanding of project management principles
CBAP Certification (Certified Business Analyst Professional)
CCBA Certification (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis)
