This position is primarily responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing cars and light trucks by performing work specified on repair orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attend training that is provided.
Diagnoses and repairs minor mechanical issues.
Assists other mechanics in major repair.
Documents all repairs performed.
Maintains clean work area.
Performs assigned jobs within time standards.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; automotive training schedules; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.

Clean driving record.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
No Computer Skills Required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
SMOG Certified a PLUS
ASE certification must be acquired within three months of employment.
