Aftermarket Master Trainers are responsible for the successful delivery, design and deployment of Tenneco’s educational and Aftermarket engagement activities. Successful candidates will display a passion for education and be able to demonstrate the delivery of exceptional results through instructor led presentation techniques. Master Trainers have the ability to establish immediate creditability with their audience and quickly tailor learning content to each individual customer need.
Primary Areas of Responsibility and Requirements:
Deliver customer specific instructor led educational services at both National and Regional Service Providers as directed by the Service Solutions Team. Delivery methods including live and on-line based presentations.
Assist in the development of learning plans, standard operating procedures and measurement criteria for all Tenneco targeted Service Providers.
Maintain and cultivate updates to all of Tenneco’s cataloged training courses, including on-line learning. Promote market and advocate the usage of Tenneco’s on-line learning platform and content.
Act as a Channel Partner intermediate, building and nurturing relationships all along Tenneco’s customer and distribution chain.
Maintain educational and consultative relationships, as well as identify areas of opportunity for targeted and engaged Tenneco customers.
Assist in the development of customized learning content and delivery methods.
Act as Subject Matter Experts in the review of Tenneco product, learning content and delivery methods.
Provide certification on Tenneco learning platforms to Regional and National Service Professional training teams as directed by the Service Solutions team.
Observe, coach and council Tenneco’s Sales team on training and presentation delivery skills.
Obtain and sustain the Tenneco Master Trainer Certification requirements including:
ASE Certifications: Steering & Suspension (A4), Brake (A5), and Exhaust (X1) with the eventual completion of Master Automobile Technician (A1-A8) within the timeframe determined by the Service Solutions Manager.
On time completion of Tenneco training plan
Develop and present a Tenneco product focused Capstone Presentation
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education or equivalent experience
Minimum 7 years' experience in AUTOMOTIVE training, development, design and deployment of corporate education
80%+ travel required.
South & West Regions applicants must be Bi-Lingual Spanish / English
Strong background in Auto Care industry/automotive technology, including suspension systems, braking systems, and exhaust/emission control preferred.
Must have a strong history in public speaking, presentations and instructor led services
Must demonstrate the ability to develop customized training plans and test methodologies to evaluate training program criteria
Excellent verbal, written and overall communication skills
Demonstrate advanced communication, technology and software skills
Possess superior time management and logistical planning abilities
Proven record of accomplishment of successful training and content development practices and methods, including needs assessment and instructional design
