Technician - Mechanical Repair
Standard Motor Products is searching for a Quality Technician to provide quality assurance support in the manufacture of automotive engine related component parts. The position is responsible for maintaining quality control in a high precision manufacturing environment.
Tasks include but are not limited to: * Perform first piece inspection * Perform PPAP, and R & R studies for new and existing product lines. * Troubleshoot and service measurement equipment/gauges. * Utilize various measuring systems within a lab environment. * Participate in writing Standard Operating Procedures for equipment and measurement processes. * Perform Product/Process audits and report out quantitative results using Excel and other reporting methods. * Other tasks as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Requirements: * High School Diploma, and 3 years minimum experience with quality measurements in a high precision manufacturing environment. * Demonstrated proficiency in GD & T / Blueprint reading. * Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. * ISO/TS Auditing experience helpful. * Experience training operators on the use of measurement equipment. * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * Experience in the use of Statistical Process Control techniques. * Experience with high precision machining, heat treat, leak testing and small component assembly is a plus. * Associate Degree in industrial technology or related field a plus.
