Position Summary (Mission):
This position is responsible for creating and maintaining our Automotive Aftermarket Application Catalog(s) - labelling, published and electronic - to Auto Care Standards as well as requirements of various other leading industry (ACES, PIES, GTIN etc.) standards and electronic catalog services (Part Cat, Activant, WHI, JNP, Epicor, Vertical Development, etc.) requirements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Duties include but are not limited to)
Must maintain and correct the application information, product information and all part specifications within the catalog software, as well as, maintain all part specifications for ACES/PIES and TecDoc catalog standards and Labeling requirements.
Collaborate with the production management team to add and consolidate parts and applications.
Database management and maintenance of all vehicle part coverage including the evaluation, management, and analysis of OE information and research to identify gaps in coverage.
Maintain competitive and OEM interchanges.
Make product image decision and maintenance as required.
Provide timely and accurate ACES and PIES exports to key customers using specific load sheet by customer.
Produce paper catalogs as necessary - typesetting, print and delivery.
E-Catalog Maintenance including posting most recent e-cat of ACES, AAOS for Epicor, WHI and other publishers.
Coordinate and apply Vehicle Population Data to applications annually or as required.
Analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities, develop strategic direction from market information, and create compelling market analysis presentations.
Research and map application carry up coverage (Autocare ACES).
Identify catalog process improvements and implement changes as needed.
Key contact with suppliers, agencies, industry associations and customers to support them with technical questions including applications.
Provide all labelling guidelines to meet aftermarket customer requirements. Liaison with IT and purchasing keeping them up to date on requirements.
Support Product Managers & Sales Managers as required.
Participation in industry networking events including the ACPN, to promote our aftermarket portfolios through superior catalog data and support.
Participate in our environment/culture that promotes safety in the workplace.
Provide appropriate support and training to ensure department is compliant with all applicable OSHA and TS requirements.
Develop constructive relationships with vendors, contractors, consultants and governmental agency representatives as necessary.
Meet budgetary goals for this function.
Work with peers, superiors and subordinates to insure the development and execution of the department/operating plan.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills & Experience Required:

S. degree in IT/Business Management, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of relative work experience in automotive technology, Automotive WD, Automotive Parts Mfg., Automotive Service Center, Automotive Retailer.
Experience with managing large volumes of data and ensuring quality of data.
Knowledge of E-catalog Solutions and Automotive Aftermarket Industry.
Intensive knowledge of automobiles and its engineering.
Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel and Access, ACES and PIES.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledgeable of master data management strategies and best practices.
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.
Ability to work under pressure, meeting multiple project deadlines is required.
Uncompromising judgment towards confidentiality & business ethics.
Position requires primary office location at Hastings, Michigan.
Prior engine competent experience a plus.
Up to date, social media shrewdness is required.
Business travel to customer or to trade shows is required – US and international travel will be required. Expected 5-10%.
Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement cost savings efforts and support budgetary requirements of the department.
This position would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend, stand or sit in a chair as necessary. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 -35 pounds throughout the day.
This position is performed within a production facility and may require interaction with employees in the production area.
