Leads and manages Product Team in the areas of Product Development, Quality Control, cataloging interchanges, and technical support.
The Product Specialist will be a key part of our Technical and R&D Team that handles new product development, mapping of ACES/PIES catalog standards, cataloging, technical phone support, and interchanges. Duties of the position include the following:
Report directly to the Director of Product Development.
Supervise multiple departments with as many as 10 direct reports.
Be responsive & proactive in managing customer requests and inquiries. Review and address customer inquiries in a timely manner. Collaborate and assist with troubleshooting issues, documenting, and communicating to appropriate parties.
Conduct OEM research and communicate coverage goals and opportunities to product line teams.
Plan and meet product development deadlines.
Respectfully and diligently take on any other job duties assigned.

College Degree (Bachelor's)
Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time domestically and internationally.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Automotive mechanical repair experience or training.
Ability to apply for and be granted a passport and travel visa
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint
Excellent customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Strong automotive knowledge (either parts counter or automotive catalog is great)
Dependable transportation and the ability to pass a drug screen
Experience with the following:
Troubleshooting mechanical failures
Quality control on a manufacturing level
Catalog entry (mapping and validating)
Catalog data distribution
OES or OEM automotive products
OEM Automotive part numbers and lookups
Strong background in vehicle parts knowledge, automotive part fitment, OEM and competitive part evaluation.
Strong knowledge of state of the art aftermarket data formats and requirements, such as ACES, AAIA Legacy, and PIES.
Previous experience managing/manipulating large amounts of data.
ASE certification or formal automotive technology education
Ability to read measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Familiarity with California workshop safety regulations and practices
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient skills in Excel and Outlook
When called upon to do so, must be able to handle physical demands of warehouse-related work
