About This Role

We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician to join our team to keep Sun Day’s car washes running smoothly.  This person will lead the development of our preventive maintenance programs and processes at Sun Day’s first car washes in California, as we redefine the car wash industry. 

What you will do:

• Ensure machinery is functioning at optimal levels by planning and executing preventive maintenance.
• Assist Operations Team with development of a preventive maintenance program that can be implemented at Sun Day’s existing car wash in San Luis Obispo, CA, and at future car washes in California.
• Assist Operations Team with development and implementation of employee training programs.
• Respond to on-site mechanical problems when they arise at Sun Day locations in California.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is mechanically inclined, reliable and demonstrates integrity.
• Is willing and able to travel between all Sun Day Carwash locations in California (we are one location in San Luis Obispo now, but we’re growing fast!). 
• Has the ability to function with a high level of autonomy.
• Has a passion for providing the highest possible quality service.
• Has the ability to create and maintain structure.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in the car wash industry and understanding of car wash fundamentals.
• Experience maintaining car wash equipment and an understanding of how a car wash tunnel works.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical and commercial building maintenance.
• Experience installing, dismantling, repairing and reassembling machinery and equipment.
• Experience with 3 phase high voltage, AC/DC and distribution panels.
• Experience repairing hydraulic, pneumatica and reverse osmosis (RO) systems.
• Experience with metal fabrication and welding.
• Experience with breakdown industrial and production maintenance.
