Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Maintain an in-depth understanding of engines, transmissions, turbochargers & superchargers, along with all common modifications and tuning upgrades
Train and mentor Jr. Calibrators and Calibration Assistants
Immerse yourself, comprehend, and be able to problem solve using OEM documentation (data & function sheets) for control module types you are engaged with
Create new calibrations to extract the maximum power, speed, and fun of given hardware setups
Troubleshoot customer issues escalated to you
Create Knowledge base articles to support the C.S.R. reps and reduce your overall ticket load
Become an expert at analyzing data logs and spotting issues and trends
Utilize hexadecimal matching techniques to move completed binaries over to new OEM binaries
Troubleshoot issues with calibrations in the field from customer-provided data and work with customers to resolve
Master the PowerLink tuning server, including deploying and moving credits between accounts, inactivating, blocking users, and managing custom tune groups
Rescue control units that failed to program and work with long-distance customers via remote desktop to resolve issues
Understand the basic effects of various modifications on vehicle emissions and the regulatory ramifications of those changes
Emissions testing regimes to satisfy EPA Compliance Memo requirements
Travel to validate performance and support marketing efforts through racing, or as required

Preferred Skills and Competencies:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
